Halloween Party: Last-Minute DIY Idea

It's October and it is time to get serious about planning my annual Halloween party. I start stalking the stores in early September looking for the perfect party decor to set the mood. But sometimes I can't find what I want or like. It is in these moments that being a designer is helpful and was a big part of what inspired me to open a shop.

This year I find myself in this situation and I cannot find party supplies that I like. I am also running late so I got an idea!

I designed some fun sticker sheets for Halloween this year. The best part is, they are vinyl and this means they are water resistant. I decided to decorate my party cups with them and the look for my entire party grew from there. I also realized a bonus in using them, it makes it easy for guests to keep tabs on which cup is theirs without the need for using stemware and glass charms or wasting so many cups. Keep reading to see how I put it all together.

Here is what I used:

  • Clear party cups (paper or colorful cups would work too)
  • Fun Halloween straws
  • Scalloped dinner plates
  • Smaller pumpkin plates
  • Scalloped paper napkins
  • Favor boxes (find them in my Etsy shop here)
  • Favor box filler (such as vampire teeth, fun erasers, or candy)
  • Halloween stickers (you can find my vinyl sticker sheets here)
  • Fun light up ice cubes (found on Amazon)

There are no affiliate links here, just fun items I found out and about or from my shop.

I decorated the cups with the stickers and arranged each place setting since I was hosting a Halloween dinner party. This idea works great for a kid's party and provides an activity if you let each child decorate their cup.

Of course, Halloween needs some special effects so for added fun I used these light-up ice cubes and it was time to party!

It's a quick and easy idea that is perfect for last-minute party planners!
